HTC Desire L announced
HTC has added yet another mid-range smartphone to its Android portfolio. Called the HTC Desire L, the device has been announced in Taiwan only and there is no information on a global launch date or price of the smartphone.
The HTC Desire L has a 4.3-inch Super LCD2 display with a 480x800 pixel resolution. Under the hood, a 1GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM power the smartphone. The version of Android the Desire L will run on has yet been made clear. We hope that it runs on at least Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The device will also be skinned with the HTC Sense UI but the Sense version too isn’t known. The smartphone is relatively slim at 8.9 mm thick and weighs in at 118 grams.
The rear of the Desire L houses a 5MP camera with HTCImageChip, an LED flash and also supports 720p HD video recording. It has 4GB of built-in storage expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot. In terms of connectivity options, it supports 3G, Wi-Fi 820.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. An 1800mAh battery powers the entire package.
The HTC Desire L will be available in three colours - white, black and pink. There is no information available about the global pricing or availability of the smartphone.
